Somenath Dutta
Bioinformatics & Computational Biology Researcher
About Me

In 2022, Mr. Dutta completed his Master's degree in Bioinformatics from the Department of Bioinformatics, Pondicherry University with Distinction. After completing his master's, he worked as a Young Research Fellow at IIIT Hyderabad and also joined the Institute of Advanced Materials, Sweden for his pre-PhD training. He has been actively engaged in interdisciplinary research, presenting his work at numerous national and international conferences and publishing multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals.
In 2023, he worked as a visiting scholar at Soka University, Japan. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Max Planck Student Grant Award (2024) and has received multiple international grants and travel awards. He has collaborated with researchers from internationally recognized institutions and has actively contributed to diverse interdisciplinary research projects.
Currently, Mr. Dutta is working as a Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Pusan National University in South Korea, where his work focuses on integrating computational and systems biology to design next-generation RNA-targeted therapeutics.
